In response to some of the questions you put out there, and some of my thoughts……
1. I really don’t mind the Julia storyline. BUT, I agree with you both in that it seems like they’re paying it just enough attention to keep it going, but not enough to give it the attention it deserves. But then, I didn’t like the way Reynard’s story ended in the books either, it was almost a throw-away line. It’s like no-one knows what to do with him, including the author. Julia’s character in the TV show is so inconsistent. On the one hand, she says that she doesn’t want any more people to be hurt by him, and then she takes the Haxenpaxen or whatever it is, and leaves Dana totally unprotected without even thinking twice about it. And there is another inconsistency. If Dana had banished him 40 years ago, why was she living in such obvious fear of him hunting her down?
2. I think what I was trying to say about the niffin-Alice came partly from the books as well. In the books, niffin-Alice is always blue. I was almost thinking that perhaps the true niffin part of Alice was setting Quentin up as well, after all, he was the one who killed her. I may just be overthinking this though, and the blue light was coming from somewhere else.
3. They are trying to do too many things at the same time, which is a shame. The Penny story definitely deserves more air time.
Thank you Anastasia 🙂 we shall discuss in cast.
